ABOUT

Francesco Tavolaro received his BA in Media and Communications at the University of Basilicata (Italy). He then moved to Spain, where he continued his professional training, obtaining a diploma in Radio and Television Scriptwriting at EMA RTV in Seville. In order to deepen the general knowledge gleaned from his previous studies and also gain more specialized, hands-on experience, he then decided to study Cinematography at Bande à Part Film School in Barcelona.
He has since worked on a number of projects as freelance camera operator, assistant camera, and video editor, and is editor at “Quaderni del CSCI,” a publication of essays on the Italian Cinema. He is currently based in Madrid.
